More swedish proverbs

Everyone is the smith of their own happiness.
You can't have more fun than you make yourself.
You can't be a prophet in your hometown.

I don't think the swedes can claim original authorship of the third one. Check out Mark 6:4 and Matthew 13:57

"...But Jesus said to them, 'Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor'"

Maybe Jesus was Swedish?

Reminds me of the story I heard a priest tell--he is really into Jewish history and theology and always talking about it. Once, he said, a friend of his who was getting her MA in theology asked him why he was so involved in Jewish stuff.
"Well," he said, "to begin with, Jesus is central to my life and I want to know everything about him, and he was a Jew, so I want to know all about that."
"What?!" his friend said. "I thought Jesus was Italian!"
Right! There're all those pictures to prove it!

I like the Mormon story that Jesus got on a boat with all the prophets and went to the new world and converted the Indians.
As if it wasn't enough to have a 3 year ministry, miracles, crucifiction and resurrection?
